Michael Cantor (aka "The Amazing Cantori") spent his formative years in both our nation’s capital and in Europe, with an exorbitant amount of time sequestered in his father's subterranean workshop, "Dunninger's Encyclopedia of Magic" in hand. He went on to receive a degree in the sciences, though quickly gave up a traditional career path for the art of mystification and prestidigitation.
In addition to being a full-time performer, Cantor has taught graduate level classes in magic and awareness, has read the fortunes of congressmen, senators, and rock stars, and finds the time to design & craft magical apparatus, which he has supplied to some of the finest illusionists in the world.

Working with a historic house museum of the Civil War era, we asked Michael for a program that included history on the background of magic as it related to the Spiritualism movement, seances, and shysters that were popular during the second half of the 19th century as well as performing feats of magic and slight of hand. We got exactly what we asked for!
Mr. Cantor played to an SRO crowd of over 94 folks - young, old, different genders, and varying ethnic groups. His style is warm, friendly, and inclusive. Our visitors loved the show and kept him busy for a half-hour after the designated closing time. We plan to have him back in 2019.
